Mr. Nenninger’s impressive background spans both the legal and investment banking fields. Prior to co-founding Energy Advisory Partners, he held a prominent position as a partner at a renowned law firm with a team of over 700 attorneys. During his tenure, Mr. Nenninger facilitated transactions worth $11 billion dollars.
At Energy Advisory Partners, Mr. Nenninger was involved in over $300 million in M&A transactions in the power sector. As an attorney, he provided comprehensive legal counsel to clients in a wide range of structured finance transactions. This included advising on the issuance of notes, debentures, and equity instruments, as well as handling merger and transactions, project financings, international export credit-agency loans, and public financings.
In 2015, Mr. Nenninger founded Smart Law, a leading personal injury firm based in Illinois. Under his leadership, Smart Law experienced significant growth and achieved an ROI of over 100%. However, to prioritize the sale of assets at Energy Advisory Partners, he made the decision to suspend operations at Smart Law. That asset sale took place in November 2019.
